College Services

College Services provide programs funded by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.  The program can offer students from Greater Cincinnati financial assistance for college and some other post high school training and educational programs, or access to a Jewish Community summer internship, and can also provide referrals for additional services related to the pursuit of a college education.

Gus Hilb established the Hilb Scholarship Fund through a bequest to the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati in 1955 in honor of his parents, Mannis and Yetta Hilb.  The fund serves middle-class residents of Greater Cincinnati by offering the opportunity to apply for a need-based academic scholarship.  Applications can be made for college/university enrollment, professional training programs and/or short-term vocational training programs in non-academic fields.  Hilb candidates are also considered for grants issued from the Guthman and Magnus Endowments.  Additionally, Jewish candidates who attend a professional program are considered for a Saidel Fund award.
