Rich Davis and I presented the first quarterly update on our Strategic Plan to the Board.  They gained a real appreciation for all of our early efforts on so many fronts and recognized the good progress that we are making.  The report is now on the Network. Go to the Common Drive; open the Strategic Planning folder and double click on Board Update Q1 2005.  This will be updated each quarter after the Board has reviewed it.  In the same folder, you can also view the timeline for the plan at Updated Timeline April 2005.

Over the past several years, many of you have joined Shannon Johnson and me for breakfast at Frisch's to get to know some of your colleagues a little better and to talk about whatever JVS topics anyone had on his or  her mind. We try to mix  people who are relatively new to JVS with some veterans and we like to include people from different programs as well so that everyone learns something about other agency activities. In the next few weeks, Shannon will be distributing invitations for the breakfasts which will be held once a month beginning in May and ending in November (We are skipping October because of all the days we are closed). Please speak with your supervisor and RSVP promptly even though your date may be well into the future.  We would like to have six to eight people join us each month for casual conversation.  We understand that the demands on your time can change very quickly, so Shannon will also send reminders well in advance.  If, at that time, you are unable to attend, we will invite someone else and keep your name on the list in case of a future cancellation.  We both look forward to these breakfasts and hope that you will join us.  If anyone wants to join us in May - or in any other specific month - please let Shannon know as soon as possible.
