Find & Keep Work in the Community:

Job Placement

Job Placement offers specific services to meet the variety of job finding needs of persons with disabilities. Employability skills training teaches the individual how to conduct an independent, effective job search. The instruction includes appropriate methods to interview for jobs, to write a concise resume and cover letter, to organize an efficient job search and to resolve job search difficulties. The program also offers job development and placement assistance to maximize the employment potential of participants, as well as providing a useful service to employers seeking qualified workers. A unique aspect of this program also offers selective job placement for persons with severe disabilities. Each participant is individually matched with the potential job and a job coach can be provided for travel training and to assist in training at the work site until the participant is able to perform the job independently.
