Jewish Vocational Service, Individuals with Disabilities Jewish Vocational Service offers a wide range of vocational, educational, and community integration services for persons with disabilities. These services enable individuals to evaluate their vocational potential, explore career options, secure training, increase academic abilities, and develop the work and social skills needed to obtain and maintain employment. For those individuals who desire an alternative to work JVS also offers an array of social and recreational services.

Preparing for Work: JVS helps the individual develop a better understanding of who they are, what type of work would best meet their interests and skills. JVS also helps individuals improve their education towards obtaining better employment options. This helps make individual better prepared for community employment.

Job Programs: JVS provides individuals with work oriented program options including work in one of our production centers or work activities in another community location. These activities also help the individual prepare for community employment.

Find and Keep a Job: JVS assists individuals in obtaining and maintaining Community Employment.

Therapeutic Social and Recreation Services: JVS offers a variety of services that focus on social and recreation rather than work and vocational pursuits for individuals with disabilities. Some of these services also have a special focus on senior citizens. The services provide a variety of social, recreational and community integration services to Senior Citizens with Disabilities.
