Peter Bloch, JVS president and CEO, is serving as president of the Ohio Association of Rehabilitation Facilities. OARF, which is a nonprofit trade association based in Columbus, works to strengthen the resources of Ohio rehabilitation facilities and enhance their services.

Bloch’s role as the 2010 president has increased JVS’ visibility throughout Ohio and brought JVS closer to what’s happening in the state capital.

This year, OARF offered a best practices seminar presented by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the national accrediting body for rehabilitation facilities. OARF also is helping members of the Ohio General Assembly and various state agencies by making recommendations to reduce the projected state budget deficit.
